Jevington
Just as on our departure from Santander, our arrival at Portsmouth was exactly on time. It was an impressive docking procedure, the huge kennel is huge, it has ten decks and it weighs just short of 33,000 tons it carries 750 vehicles between Spain and England at about 50 kph (32mph). The journey takes about 24 hours. This huge kennel is over 220 metres long. My short kennel, by comparison, is 18 metres long it carries no vehicles, just me and my pets (sometimes a bicycle) at about 5 kph (3 mph). I hope I will be writing to you from there on our voyage soon.
In the meantime, I hope you are not bored but I have just been keeping you up to date with what is happening getting ready. There has been a small delay in getting started on our Autumn cruise aboard my long kennel (Albert.)
Briefly, my bearded one’s daughter is recuperating from a hospital visit and she has needed some help for a few days. My two pets are standing in as dutiful grandparents and helping in looking after her family while she recovers her strength in convalescence. Hence the delay. As I am going to be a bit busy I am going to take up the diary entries again when I get to Albert when we will start cruising in a few days time.

Hi Douglas,
Lila & Wybrow here,
We are left alone with our dog sitters with many different tribes this time – but we are having fun and causing mahem!
Our pets are now in Spain wondering why you avoid them every September !
They say they are having fun and doing something called “helping the Spanish alcohol economy” which sounds a good cause if ever we heard one !
They are off to Benarafe today to throw some metal balls – but they’re not very good at fetching them!
Anyway – they say there are a few login buttons on your blog & 2 don’t seem to work as wekk as last year – and they couldn’t login on their phones.
They and we hope all goes well – and you god over the incident with the blue lights !!
Lotsof love L&W xx
