Braunston to Hillmorton
Actually as I write we are not quite at Hillmorton we are moored up listening to the rain drumming on the roof of my long kennel. It only started as they stopped for some lunch and so nobody has got wet. Yet! The day started well enough, in fact it was sunny with lots of blue sky as we went for our walk in Braunston. My long haired one went into the village for some provisioning while my bearded one finished some roof painting. You may recall that he ran out of paint when he tackled this job moored up at Milton Keynes. Anyway, Midland Chandlers are here and he bought another one litre can, all done and it was dry before the rain came. My bearded one is making no effort to get dressed up in his condom suit to continue our journey. He is wisely waiting for the rain to stop!
The forecast says it will stop by 4:30pm. Foolishly my bearded one believed that and decided to proceed for another hour or so, his photo shows me and him after an hour of cruising having abandoned that thought and still waiting for the rain to stop. I am wearing my towelling outfit as my long haired one is going to give me a rub down.
