Douglas Diary Summer Holidays Friday 17th August 2018 “The Off”.
At long last things seem to be happening. I am so excited and I do apologise for my long silence. We arrived in England about a week ago but my paws have hardly touched the ground.
After a busy week visiting lots of human relatives belonging to my long haired one aka Jan and my bearded one aka Andrew we did eventually arrive at my Long Kennel, aka Albert, in King’s Bromley, where it stays when we are not on an adventure.
That was last night and after a lovely long sleep in my own private cabin located over the engine, I awoke and I pressed my nose to my porthole and observed the most beautiful dawn and I was excited all over again.
Well, as most of you know, I write this diary mainly for the benefit of my bearded one so that he knows where he is going where he has been, why and what happened if anything. So far all I know is after a lot of debate, we are heading south for a few weeks of adventure. Excited or what!
We are on our way at last. We turned right out of the Marina after a breakfast of dry biscuits at 10:00 am. travelling south on The Trent and Mersey. My picture today is my long kennel as seen early this morning when I took my bearded one for his early walk.
As is customary I report daily on what happens, for example, I will enlarge on today, tomorrow.
Love Douglas x
