Douglas Diary 29th August 2014
I am really really sorry about the delay. Indeed 21st was the last time my paws hit the
keyboard. That is just over a week ago. ‘ Nothing alarming but yes I have left my long kennel in Staffordshire where we keep it safely in a marina and although I have had a lovely week since then, it has been mainly visiting my long haired and bearded ones’ families all over the place, interesting as it has been for me I did not consider it particularly exciting as a travelogue or diary note from me to share with my other followers. I have incidentally been swimming and it has been very wet. I have been on so many walks, I have been playing with my cousin Basil he is from the Labrador tribe and belongs to my owners’ daughter Rachel that I have told you about. We have been celebrating her birthday all week! Or at least they have! She lives in a big park with squirrels and stuff. Basil is ginger but despite this he is quite cute and only 4 months old, I have been training him. I believe we, that is me and my bearded one and long haired one set off back to Spain after the next party in my mobile short kennel with an ETA of Tuesday evening to our house in Moclinejo. We are going under the channel again apparently on Sunday morning, this time I hope to see a fish. My picture is of Basil, see what I mean? I hope to write again on our journey, please keep in touch. Love Douglas

Hello Douglas –
I know you came to see my Mummy and Daddy the other day. I thought it was best to stay upstairs out of your way a I didn’t want to scare you too much. I understand that your friend Fockus didn’t put in an appearance either. Never mind – I know my Mummy and Daddy enjoyed seeing your long-haired and bearded one anyway.
Have a good journey back to Spain and see you in October (or is it November)?
Love and scratches
Millie
We are so glad you’ve had a good time with your carers Douglas. They need so much looking after don’t they!
I (Raffles) am on a special diet now cos I haven’t fancied my kidney disease diet in tins – so my mum makes me home cooked food every day now. When my dad comes in he says: “that smells good” & my Mum says – “That’s for the dogs”! Lila gets some too so she is getting fat again!
Anyway I have put some weight on now & am well enough to go to kennels in 2 weeks when my carers go to Spain where they hope to see you and your carers!! They said to tell you they are trying to ring you!
Bye for now
Raffs & Lila ! Woof!
