Here I am in Eastbourne after a few hours that I spent yesterday (Sunday) mostly sleeping on the back seat of my short kennel, the bearded one drove it all the way from my long kennel which they say they put to bed, I didn’t notice. All I know is this short one goes like a squirrel up a drainpipe with hundreds of other short kennels going so fast in every which way direction. It can be quite frightening after the slow long kennel but mostly I have my eyes shut. The journey took about four hours with one stop. I did not mind in the least, I like it in my short kennel, it is comfy, he calls it a Yeti for some reason. Also he calls today, The “Spring Bank Holiday Monday”, it is a bit of a mouthful and just like any other day. It started as usual when I took my bearded one for his walk in the park and I went on a squirrel hunt, I haven’t caught one – yet. Most of the shops seem to be open, my bearded one went shopping with my long haired one while I guarded my short kennel and he bought a suit – I have no idea why. I am extremely glad I don’t have to dress up like they do, I only own one coat and that is the one that I grew up in. My long haired one has been very busy washing stuff we brought with us from my long kennel: our back garden looks like an old fashioned fully rigged sailing ship. I took them both for an early evening walk in the park where there were lots of picnics still in progress, apparently this is a tradition on every ” SBHM”. Anyway, this particular picnic was on the ground, my nose detected it from 300 yards and I suppose I thought they didn’t want it as they were not eating it just sitting around on a rug chatting and so I ate it. I still don’t know why everyone got so excited, there was quite a lot of dancing and shouting, it was only a piece of cold chicken Kiev and a couple of cheese sandwiches, I do like cheese.
