Douglas Diary Saturday 5th April 2014 The Staffs and Worcester canal north of Birmingham is really very pretty but sadly it was raining on and off which meant there was not much exploring or painting being done. I of course was having a lot of fun on lock duty with my long haired one and having a lovely time but as a result getting quite muddy. I could tell she didn’t like this bit. I think her day would have been happier if my bearded one hadn’t then stepped into my water bowl and sent a considerable amount of water all over our carpet adding to the mess and confusion. It really went wrong for her, bless her. The washing machine, busy on a cycle of clothes washing (stuff they have to wear) suddenly stopped! This was quite logical as, arriving at our destination, the bearded one had naturally turned off the engine which produces the power to drive the kennel and as it happens, also the washing machine. After some discussion, my bearded one was told to restart the engine so as to complete the domestic chores. This is when it really went wrong, the washing machine, as confused as I was, continued to take on water that it really didn’t need. As a result water was spurting from every orifice adding to the chaos inside my kennel. I think we are going to have to stop for more water soon Sent from my IPad x

Really Douglas, it’s about time you had strong words with your Master – this is no way to treat the domestic engineer – I hope your master helped to clear up the mess in your kennel!
