Day 44, my last entry for now.
I will of course post a diary entry now and again when there is something of interest to report and of course I want to continue to hear from all my friends.
I know my owners, the long haired one and the bearded one, Andrew and Jan you call them, will join me in saying a very big thank you to all those of you who came to visit us in person.
Help with the navigation of my long kennel Albert, through the 225 locks and the 100 or so swing bridges and the 8 tunnels that we have encountered over our journey of 450 miles was invaluable. There is no doubt that without this help we would still be out there somewhere.
Tomorrow we leave my long kennel for a while, my owners are busy packing things away ready for the winter. We are going to drive now by car on a tour of the south and east to catch up with family and friends that we don’t see so often before we return to Spain next week, we catch the ferry from Portsmouth next Sunday September 23rd.
Thank you for reading my diary I hope you enjoyed sharing my adventures, please continue to write to me. We all want to hear from you.
The map below is the route my long kennel made over the last six weeks.
Love Douglas xx
