It was so lovely at Great Haywood, lots of smells for me and things to do for them that we stayed all day and yesterday evening. My bearded one’s eldest son James with his wife Sue and their two children Jonathan and Amber and their dog Rocky (unknown tribe) came to visit. I played with Rocky and then they all went out and took over The Clifford Arms dining room and left me in charge. That was yesterday. Today is our last day and we started off only about four hours from home base. There was no hurry, it was a mild morning and we ambled gently for the last ten miles or so, stopping for lunch on the way. We arrived back at King’s Bromley early in the afternoon and we set about putting my long kennel to bed until the next time in maybe three or four months from now. ‘ Fîrst we said goodbye to Bob and Sheila, took them to the railway station Lichfield Trent Valley for their journey home via Bírmingham. We then did a bit of shopping and then the work started. My bearded one attended to my long kennel in particular the engine under my bedroom floor and my long haired one did all sorts of tidying and packing and cleaning. As a matter of interest we have travelled 197 miles, done nearly 200 locks, been through 8 tunnels and over a few aqueducts. Thank you again for keeping in touch. Hey, if you read this far, my apologies for the late arrival of this entry, my bearded one had another attack of MDS which you may recall is Megabyte Deficiency Syndrome, all better now on proper wifi he says whatever that is – some medication I suspect.
