Douglas Diary Sunday 30th March 2014 I wake up in the morning and my bearded one takes me to an area called a deck which is specially prepared for me and my four legged friends. There are no trees which makes it a bit tricky for many of my friends to have a pee but I know the routine and have no problem. My bearded one holds up a broom handle, I find this helps. Looking out I can see nothing but water I have no idea where we are. I heard my bearded one saying that frogs live over there as he pointed but I could not see any. There are a lot of my kind. I met a huge member of the Newfoundland Tribe, she was the size of a donkey! I was a bit frightened of her, she wanted to play but I didn’t, her paws were the size of my head. Then as it was getting dark, I was put back onto my bed in my small blue kennel and later they joined me in the front seats and we were off again, leaving the huge kennel behind but now we are strangely on the wrong side of the road. I suppose they know what they are doing. After a while I sniff the air and I can’t help it, I am getting excited, I know where we are going and yes, we arrive at my Auntie Rachel’s house and here I know there are two small humans who just love to play with me. Unfortunately, they are in bed when we arrive and soon we all go to bed too. Our bedroom is at the top of the house and I am very brave, there is a spiral staircase which I have now mastered, it is worth it because once up there I can sleep where I like and there is a lovely hairy rug. Hi Bruv !
We are very impressed with your ability to promenade the ‘poop’ deck. Where does the bearded one keep the broom handle then ? Must be a problem explaining to customs.
