Douglas Diary Tuesday 29th September
My long kennel is looking very smart this morning, I think my paw prints on the back deck look most artistic. I took my bearded one for his early morning meander around the marina, chased a few ducks and made a point of avoiding the vicious cat that I fortunately spotted lurking under a bush.
My owners friends arrived at midday, they are called Mair and Tony and my owners have been on holiday with them many times, this is their first visit to holiday with me and my long kennel.
After lunch we left our home base at King’s Bromley and had a gentle four hour cruise North to The village of Great Haywood, I sat on the back deck to help my bearded one drive. I saw a king fisher – twice and ate a wasp – once! We had a nice overnight mooring just outside where Lord Lichfield lived at his huge house Shrugborough Hall. They had dinner at the Clifford Arms, I sat under their table and was given a biscuit by the nice lady owner.

What a good job the nice owner lady was there for you Douglas, you don’t get zilch from your keepers. I am sorry to hear you ate a wasp, I hope it didn’t leave a sting. I remember that you don’t think much of wasps!
What lovely weather again, it is very busy where we are as people are taking advantage of the good weather before they hunker down for the winter. Keep writing your diary, hope you get some treats tomorrow,xx
