Douglas diary Tuesday 19th April 2016
It has been really quite boring today apart from first thing when I did chase some ducks. There is an enormous swan creature sitting on eggs right near to my long kennel (same procedure as last year) and she keeps hissing at me. (See photo). I keep clear. My owners the bearded and the long haired have been very busy. The former has had his head down in the engine room most of the morning ( this being under my bedroom). He has been humming a happy tune and muttering to himself. Apparently he has been greasing his stern gland again – I kept well clear, and topping up his header tank, cleaning his filters, checking his levels and tightening his belts, all in a good cause I am sure as we are off tomorrow. My long haired one has been cleaning my long kennel like there was no tomorrow – and periodically, she cleans my bearded one too. We have my friends Peter and Lesley Arriving tomorrow hence the activity. As a family we have been out for a trip in my short kennel doing what they call provisioning, I call it shopping, this is fine for them, I get to sit outside the shops usually tied up to railings and just getting the odd pat on the head from passers by. We are going out to see some friends who live locally tonight for supper, that will be nice but I bet I don’t get any.
