Douglas Diary
My long kennel
Here I am on board my long kennel again. I have missed it. Mainly all those long walks and the ducks. Anyway, we are, after spending three days at our Marina where my bearded one and long haired one have been preparing, provisioning, cleaning, varnishing and painting we are now actually on the move. We are heading towards Stoke on Trent to meet up with our friends Barbie and Mike. They also have a long kennel like mine but they have left it to join us for a week. We don’t yet know where we are going to go but I will report regularly and hopefully send pictures. Two late ones today one is me supervising a staircase lock at the start of the Caldon Canal (I am at the top of the steps) and then a pair of bottle kilns. We are in the potteries.

Great to have you back Douglas
You are a lucky fellow ! Ducks and Squirrels ! We only have snakes and lizards. Make sure you wear your water wings and don’t try flying off locks – that is why it says ‘water’ ! We look forward with envy to hearing your adventures and still can’t understand why the bearded one chose you instead of us……….
‘Cos I’m pretty and hairy. X
No photos of your time with Basil!
