Home in Spain.
We are back home again in Spain now. We have been away for just about two months. As I hope you will know, as readers of my diary, we have all had a great time.
After we left my long kennel Albert in Staffordshire, we visited lots of family and friends at various locations on our car drive south. This is my short kennel. It was in Eastbourne that we finished our ramblings and it is here that we spent the last few days. The weather has been mostly dry and sunny. I have to tell you that I have been on many sleep overs, my bed has been moved so many times, I have been on fox patrol (see photo) I have sat in on picnics and children’s parties with food spread all over the ground but not for me, I have been poked and prodded by multitudes of small humans, I have taken my owners and all sorts of their friends on numerous walks and I have met so many friends of my kind, I can’t tell you how many.
My owners meanwhile seemed very busy, the bearded one played a game called golf.
On Sunday last, we were all set to catch the very large kennel called a ferry that was to take us to northern Spain. Unfortunately according to my owner, some frogs went on strike. I have no idea what this was all about but the ferry did not sail.
This meant we had to make other arrangements and we went under the channel on a train and drove all the way across France and Spain, in my short kennel. My owners took it in turns to drive it. This meant frequent short walks for me, it took two nights and nearly three days to get home, I slept most of the way.
My photos: me on fox patrol – note the fox, my long haired one at a children’s party, the south Downs – nice walks.
