Moclinejo 29th October 2019
Well my bearded one wishes to take over my diary again for the latest news on my long haired one. I have a feeling she will be home soon. I will pass you over to him 🥩
Andrew here (aka bearded one) I am very happy to report that my dear Jan (aka long haired one) will be fit to travel and is booked to fly back home to us on next Monday 4th November. She is going to be accompanied by her sister Maureen and her brother in law David who have been magnificent over the past weeks caring for her as her mobility has been somewhat impaired. They will spend some time with us here in the sunshine on a well earned rest.
That fateful day when she fell was 27th September! As I write today it is 29th October only just over a month since but it seems like very much longer.
I am handing Douglas back his diary, he is agitating to write a few words.
Douglas here again, so, my long haired one is coming home that is really nice, I have been told by the bearded one to not expect any long walks but I don’t care, I like her dinners.
It has been very exciting through all this last week we have had a house full of family. Their son Noah has been staying with his wife Gee and two of their grown up children and Gee’s father Tim.
Five in all and they all adore me, as so they should for they are, after all only humans. I have been spoiled rotten so my bearded one says but I don’t know what that means and much do I care? It seems to me that everyone has just been very kind to me as they know I am feeling sad and missing my long haired mate. Besides, having all these humans around helping my bearded one has taken a lot of pressure off me looking after him all on my own, he is not, I notice, terribly domesticated. See a picture of me asleep in my bed this morning, he took that!
Anyway that is about all I have to say for the moment, I am very excited only six more sleeps …. I will write again when she is home.
Love Douglas x
