Peter was collected and settled on board and we left King’s Bromley, a beautiful evening. One and a half hours and three locks later we arrived at our overnight stop. The Swan at Fradley Junction. They had dinner, I sat under their table. On the short walk back to my long kennel, it was as black as your hat, I was leading the way as usual and I heard a big splash behind me, I thought perhaps my bearded one or longhaired one had fallen in sooner than expected. It turned out to be one of my kind from the Alsatian tribe that jumped in from the other side of the canal to come and see us. It frightened me a lot – and them!
In the morning we left in glorious sunshine, for about three hours, I walked a lot with my long haired one, we stopped for lunch at The Tame Otter, I got a crisp. We continued in the afternoon for about an hour to a quiet mooring near Fazeley Junction, (see my picture) for the night and lit our fire, it was getting cold.
