Well you would not believe the supervising I have had to do today. Having got my long kennel up and all Bristol fashion (I heard them say this but have no idea what it means) we were ready for our first crew members, Mo and David who duly arrived at lunchtime today and the plan was to weigh anchor and head north.
Unfortunately my long kennel decided otherwise and developed an electrical issue that several visiting engineers failed to solve. The problem was apparently my domestic batteries would not charge but my starter battery did strangely coming off the same alternator but nobody could find out why.
To cut a very long story short, the problem has been solved temporarily to enable us to start our cruise in the morning. Mike and Barbie have taken their kennel Micky Jay to a nearby village called Alrewas and we will meet up with them tomorrow. This will be the start of our cruise – all being well.
I am looking forward to sitting on the poop deck navigating for my bearded one, counting the passing ducks. I will write tomorrow to give you an update.
The photo today is a picture of me, posing in the foreground and in the back ground is my long kennel aka Albert at our home mooring at Kings Bromley. This is a lovely park and I love taking my bearded one and my long haired one for walks here but I haven’t found any squirrels yet.
Love Douglas
Well done, Douglas. Sounds like you nailed the electrical fault. What would they do without you? X
