Would you Adam and Eve it! Unbelievable.
Let me explain: it was a beautiful morning and my bearded one woke me at 06:00 as the sun was rising so that I could take him for his walk around the Marina. This I did as it is my duty. The reason for this rather early start is because after all the trauma of the last few days, my long kennel was finally ready and thoroughly Bristoled (I think this is the correct term for long kennels) and the bearded one was anxious to get going.
Our friends Barbie and Mike on their kennel Micky Jay had left us yesterday for a short excursion south, while we sorted the last of our problems. We are proposing to go together northwards in tandem and so the plan was that we would leave Kings Bromley early, go south a little way and intercept them, turn around and head north together
So my bearded one moved my short kennel to a long stay parking spot in the Marina and I jumped in for the ride. He then locked the short kennel returned to my long kennel, jumped aboard, delivering orders to the crew to let go the mooring lines etc, he fired up my engine and then they were gone! Meanwhile, I watched from the rear window of my short kennel as they disappeared out of the Marina onto The Trent and Mersey until I couldn’t see them any more.
It was an hour before my long haired one came to rescue me, apparently they were a mile away before my bearded one noticed I wasn’t sitting in my normal place navigating for him on the poop deck. My long haired one and David walked back to fetch me. I was asleep.
All is well, I enjoyed the walk to catch up with my long kennel and all the other walks that I had today. As you will notice from my photo we stopped at The Plum Pudding. My bearded one said he was going to have a speckled hen, I got quite excited but never saw it. You may spot me sitting under their table (on left of the long haired one). I got some water. We had some hail stone showers today.
