We woke up to a grey drizzle and therefore little prospect of more kennel painting at least for this morning. All was well on our walk, still no squirrels although I clocked one, he was too far away to even attempt a capture.
My bearded one spent a long time on the telephone this morning, I have no idea what he was on about. I spent a lot of time dreaming about sausages and squirrels, my long haired one was doing more washing. I think we were all waiting for the weather to buck up a bit.
By lunch time it was looking a bit more hopeful but at this time we were miles away on a trip out in our short kennel and were visiting an antique market – they didn’t buy anything and I did not participate as I was left on guard in my short kennel.
When we had all returned to my long kennel a considerable amount of blue sky had appeared and someone said what a good idea it would be if we started to paint the roof now. What a good idea my bearded one whispered as he had just sat down to read a newspaper that he had bought.
Out came the paint and the other equipment and sure enough they were both doing it and quite a large portion of the roof was indeed painted and a slightly larger portion was left for another day as it was by now getting cool. My bearded one called a halt in the interests of health and safety or something.
My photos today are taken on our private island where we are moored as explained a couple of days ago (click here). This is a gazebo and a rose.
