This is a day of rest, my bearded one and my long haired one have decided that a Sunday in Tewksbury would be a good idea. I really don’t mind as we are moored by some extremely large fields with exceedingly long grass which is such fun, it is where I took my bearded one for his early morning walk. In this lovely long grass, I run and run, then I jump and roll over and run again. It really is quite exhausting, it is strange behaviour but I can’t help myself. Thus, I did not mind at all when I was allocated the guard duty job again while they went out to lunch. They have conveniently moored my long kennel right outside the Tudor House Hotel. My bearded one had a friend to call and do you know, they have been friends for over 365 doggy years, that is amazing. It was a good lunch from all accounts. I took my long haired one for an afternoon walk whilst my bearded one rested his eyes, he said it was hard work reading the newspaper. Later in the afternoon, he did assemble my anchor ready for tomorrow’s adventure in case of an emergency. Perhaps a little over cautious but it is apparently advised on big rivers. I suppose I may have to wear that ridiculous life jacket. My bum does look big in it. My picture today is a bored Heron. Love Douglas
