Thank you to all of you who have written to me, I am sorry if I have not replied to everyone but as you know, I am a paw typist. It is cloudy today but I thought a little warmer as I took my bearded one for his early morning walk. My first job as we set off was to help them guide my long kennel through a road swing bridge, this meant holding up the busy early morning traffic, this feeling of power and the interesting hand signals from some of the impatient drivers made it all worth while. It has been a busy day 13 locks all in a row which meant I got a long walk with my long haired one and M&D (Maureen and David) what they call the Lapworth flight. We were only half way down when my bearded one keenly spotted The Boot Inn. I agreed to take them all and my bearded one asked for Mr Doombar. I don’t know who this is and I never saw him as I was under the table as usual but I did have a chat with a very nice American lady who had just flown in from Miami who insisted on stroking my head continuously. I told her I was a Golden Retriever, They all had a jolly time and we decided to go no further today as it was quite late when we left. We have thirteen locks tomorrow morning – no problem. I am going to sleep now.

Dearest boy, I am distraught that I have not been able to converse with you but i am on the last legs of my mobile wifi and also in a deep dark wet cutting, But now your last missive has struggled its way through onto my android and I am being very extravagant with my remaining mbs. We will be staying put in Brewed today as the weather is not good, and also unsure about tomorrow being BH Monday, there may be too many gongoozlers about on the 21. We have now secured our mooring at the Sherborne in Birmingham from 10th to 20th May. In that time we may be able to visit you by train or bus or you may even be passing through. We will speak with your minders by telephone over the next few days. In the meantime I suggest you stay in bed. P.S. I have a packet of your favourite biscuits on board for when we meet up. Love and hugs Auntie Barbie and Uncle Mike, xx
It was lovely to receive your message and I am sorry about your gigabytes my bearded one suffers from this too whatever it is. I hope you get better! I am really looking forward to seeing you, I hope we can meet up in the next couple of weeks. I am so sorry to read of your hold up on my bearded one’s birthday but I am glad to read that cart helped you out and you are back on your way. We will talk soon. We arrived in Stratford and talk about gongooglers wow, it was quite frightening when we arrived but it is all cleared up now and I helped a bit in the pic nic area opposite the Shakespeare theatre where we moored my long kennel again like last time.

Dear Douglas
I am pleased to hear from you because I am very lonely. My mummy and dsddy left in the midde of the night to fly to somewhere called Grease (I think). Anyway, when I came in this morning they had deserted me!
They told me that someone called Sylviana (who I know lives next door) is going to feed me but she says I am only a cat’ so I don’t get the love and attention that I am used to. I will just have to put up with it I suppose. So you’re lucy – even if you only get half a crisp a time.
Love and scratches
Millie
Hi Millie, I hope you won’t be too lonely without your mummy and daddy they off in Greesy land you say. I expect they will be back when we return to Eastbourne and we look forward to seeing you, actually, you and I will probably not get too close because you are a cat and sometimes I can’t help myself, I have to chase int is apparently in my genes. My bearded one says I am hot wired for this.

Hiya Dougie,
So good to catch up with your travels. I don’t think your weather has improved much going by the forecasts. It has certainly been a very wet day here although the cloud is starting to lift now.
I like the sound of holding up early morning traffic and the sense of power that must give you. Ignore
all those hand signs. My Dougie (son) has gone off on a cycling trip to Toridon with 4 of his mates this weekend. (You need to ask the bearded one to show you where that is on the map.) We think he might be cycling near the snow line – brrr!! On a positive note we have had Dougie’s little children, Finn and Niamh to visiting for a couple of hours today. They would love you, and I am sure you would love them. They don’t poke eyes or pull fur and they would feed you biscuits.
Hope you continue to have a lovely time. Love and stuff. Carol and David xx
Lovely to hear from you up there in Scotty land. Yes the weather has been changeable and quite wet but mostly at night. We are having a lovely time and arrived in Stratford on my bearded one’s birthday but then you know that because I know you like to read my diary. I do hope we see you soon, I miss you perhaps you will be coming out to see us in Spain soon, lots of love Douglas
