Great Haywood to Kings Bromley via Fradley Junction.

17/09/2017 Douglas 3 Comments

It was a beautiful still autumnal morning, perfect walking weather and everyone was asleep except me which did not seem quite right. I fixed that.

My bearded one and I went for a lovely walk around the Shugborough estate. I nearly got one of those little grey critters and I was careful to avoid any flat grassy areas.

When we got back to my long kennel we could smell bacon and sausages being cooked and sure enough my long haired one was preparing a huge Sunday morning breakfast. I got a few dry biscuits that just covered the bottom of my bowl terrific!

It was quite a late start and we had a lovely gentle cruise to Fradley Junction. The weather was perfect, sunny most of the time and warm with no wind.

This journey meant passing our home base of King’s Bromley but we are going to turn around to go back there after lunch to end today’s cruise.

My bearded one’s daughter’s husband’s father named John who lives nearby joined us for lunch at The Swan in Fradley Junction. He has a short kennel and he ferried my daughter’s husband Martyn, to his short kennel that he left in Stone.

As we left the Swan the heavens opened to enable us to finish this cruise in the rain – just for fun.

We had a Lovely time with the family, my pictures today are: me observing one of my young humans feeding the swans the other one driving my long kennel.

Love Douglas x

    Dear Douglas,
I am so glad that you have had a lovely time with my owners. I am sure they had a wonderful time with you. I would have loved to have been there but I guess the urge to jump into that filthy canal at every given moment is just too much. I love water as much as you love chasing squirrels!!

I hoe you got lots of cuddles from my small people. Lots of love Basil xxx

NO SAUSAGES! What kind of humans do you have Douglas !??

We are waiting for OUR humans to return from
Spain with Graeme and Angie. Huh! They’ve been having a great time and today they went to El Chorro and now they are in Grazelema.

They want to know when they can meet up with you when they get home and before you go back to Spain ?!

      Lots of love
      Lila and YB xx

    Hi Douglas,
I’m wating too for my mummy and daddy to come home – apparently they are in Scotland, wherever that is.
Cleverly Daddy has sent me a message saying that your bearded one should read his blog because he saw something called the Falkikr lift yesterday which will interest him. I’ve no idea what he’s on about but there’s a photo here of it.
Scratches from a miserable Millie (although Pat next door is doing quite a good job looking after me)
