King’s Bromley Marina

18/09/2017 Douglas Leave a Comment

As you will have read from my diary yesterday, we cruised into our home Marina at King’s Bromley in a severe rainstorm and my bearded one got quite wet after a long and lovely lunch (I had some beef from my bearded one’s Sunday Carvery) at The Swan Inn at Fradley Junction. The culmination of a beautiful day cruising. This is when we said good bye to my bearded one’s daughter and her two young pups. They had a four or five hour journey to drive their short kennel back to Kent.

It is good to be here again in my home park, there is lots for me to do, plenty of walking and plenty of squirrels to chase, ducks, geese and swans to lunge at. (These last all cheat and I have given up on them). But I say again, I am going to catch one of those sneaky little grey jobs with the furry tails one of these days.

We are here principally in my home Marina so that my long haired one can catch up on the domestics of washing etc that humans seemingly have to do. on a regular basis. As you will have read we have had a lack of 230 volt power these last weeks on my long kennel and here at home base we can run stuff like our washing machine etc from our shore power.

Thus my long haired one has been extremely busy today, my bearded one on the other hand, moderately so. However, it is an ill wind… as they say. I am quite tired from all this exercise. We will, probably be staying in Port for a day or two as there are maintenance things my bearded one wants to do. We will be cruising again soon.

Anyway, I will keep you informed daily although I am not expecting any great adventures for a day or two. My photo today is the canal immediately outside our Marina which we will be going out onto again soon. It is the lovelyTrent and Mersey,

Love Douglas
