I was exhausted after such a lovely time on the beach at Licencres, I did so enjoy running on the powdery sand and digging and rolling and playing chase with my new friends, in and out of the water and exploring for treasures among the sand dunes, picking up drift wood O so much fun. But, after a couple of hours of this wonderful time on the beach my pets thought it was a good idea idea if I went and had a lie down in my short kennel while they went for a late lazy lunch of mussels in salsa, salad and wine in the sunshine terrace of a beachside restaurant. (No dogs allowed!} I slept just like a dog and I woke only as we made our short journey to The Port of Santander to board the massive kennel, this process seemed to take a long time but eventually we were all checked aboard, my short kennel was safely stowed below ( deck six) and we went to our cabin on deck nine. This, as my reader will know from my previous diaries, is where I and my kind have our very own open air exercise deck. It is in reality where we can attend to other more important and essential needs and as I am an experienced sailor I have to explain to the newcomers how to manage without benefit of trees and grass. This special area is my photo for today. It was a very pleasant and smooth crossing of The Bay of Biscay, we left on time and arrived 25 hours later in England landing at about 8:45 pm GMT Sunday night.
