Well maybe that was Summer. Today the weather is what the Irish call an Irish mist, the Scots call a Scotch mist and I call a bloody shame, ’tis drizzle plus it’s cold.
It didn’t spoil my walk this morning though, I took both Jim and my bearded one for their normal perambulation.
Talking of walks, Jim, who like me, enjoys walking, left us after breakfast to go and fetch his short kennel from Consall. He didn’t take me with him, he remembered the way and he didn’t get lost. It only took him an hour.
When he came back, the sun just poked its head out of the clouds and we set off for a pleasant and gentle cruise through farm land to our overnight destination where we arrived for a top up of water and a pic-nic lunch.
The place where we are moored for this evening is called Endon which is only a few miles away from where we started this morning and so Jim intends to do the same leap frog procedure to keep his short kennel within range because he has to leave us early tomorrow, Wednesday.
Our mooring at Endon is in a cow field, it is very rural and peaceful – smells nice too.
My picture today is me with my long haired one who is drawing the cows from my Cratch (that’s a nautical term). Do you like my nice lamp?
They are going to see Mr Toby tonight, he is about seven minutes walk away from here. I may not be going with them, I suspect I will be on guard duty, I seem to remember the last time they saw Mr Toby I was not allowed to go inside with them because I am a dog.
